Contact details for you including a name, address, telephone number and/or email address to enable us to communicate effectively with you and carry out our services.

Certificates and warranties for works completed by the company or on behalf of the company which may contain your name, address, contact number and or email address.

This list is not exhaustive as we hold records of most contacts we have with you, or about you, such as text messages or emails regarding our services to you or your property and we process this information, so we can deliver services to you. Generally, the information we hold will have been provided by you on initial contact by phone, email or website enquiry regarding our services, but we may also hold information provided by third parties such as managing agents, where this is relevant to your enquiry or request.

 

HOW WE MANAGE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We process your personal information in accordance with the principles of GDPR and will treat your personal information lawfully, fairly and transparently. Your information will be collected and processed for a specified, explicit and legitimate purpose. The information requested and obtained will be adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the company to carry out their services. We will only hold your records during the period of our relationship with you and for a set period afterwards to allow us to meet our legal obligations, including resolving any follow up issues between us or honouring your warranty period.

Ace Appliance Centre staff have access to your personal information to enable their services to be provided and completed. The company does not share your information with third parties who are not relevant to the services we are providing. Providing the name, address and contact details of a resident to subcontractors or other agents providing services on Ace Appliance Centre’s behalf.

OUR WEBSITE

We do not use Cookies or Google analytics on our website to find out personal information. The only web-tracking implemented is through the website provider, which only details information such as the number of visitors to our site and landing pages. The personal data we do collect on the website is inputted by the customer themselves when they make an enquiry and is clearly shown.

 

YOUR GDPR RIGHTS

Under the GDPR, you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, and to request a copy of your information. This request needs to be made in writing to the above office or email address, accompanied by proof of identify, such as a copy of your passport or driving licence.

We have one calendar month to provide you with the personal information you’ve requested. This will not generally include information that relates to your property such as the repairs or services provided, as this is not considered personal information.

You also have the right to ask us to delete personal information we hold about you if the information is no longer necessary in relation to the GDPR conditions, such as you withdraw your consent. We can however refuse to erase your personal information where the personal information is still being processed under a legitimate GDPR circumstance, such as a legal obligation.

You have the right to require us to stop processing your personal information at any time. When processing is restricted, we can store the information, but not do anything with it. We must stop using the information unless we can prove a legitimate reason for the processing, which overrides your interests and rights.

The right to data portability allows us to obtain and reuse your personal data across different services. It allows us to move, copy or transfer personal data easily from one IT environment to another in a safe and secure way. The right only applies to personal data you have provided to us where the reason we are relying on to use the information is either your consent or for the performance of a contract.
